Kyle Krall
About
Mr. Krall is the office manager of Thornton Tomasetti’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices. He has more than 31 years of structural engineering experience in the design of commercial, sports, residential and mixed-use buildings and has extensive experience in the design of both steel and concrete structures. As a project manager he is responsible for all phases of structural design from schematic through project administration. His recent work includes The New York Times Building in New York City; a headquarters building for a financial services firm in Stamford, Conn.; and Four Seasons Abu Dhabi, Sowwah Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Other notable projects include San Francisco’s AT&T Park baseball stadium; the expansion of Penn State’s Beaver Stadium; and Palazzo Lombardia, the headquarters for the Lombardi Regional Government, Milan, Italy.
Mr. Krall served as an adjunct assistant professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation for 10 years. He coauthored numerous technical papers and lectured at engineering conferences in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. He has been an active member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York since 2001 and served as president-elect from 2003-2004 and the president from 2004-2005. Mr. Krall holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Columbia University.
