About

Dr. Li Hongyu has been taking a leading role in the construction industry for 30 years and has extensive experience throughout Asia including Hong Kong, Mainland China, South East Asia as well as specific project experience in the middle east. She attained her PhD degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Edinburgh in the UK in 1994 and a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge in 2009 focusing on sustainability. She is a 1st class Registered Structural Engineer in China, a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, UK, also a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Dr Li is Senior Vice President of AECOM, responsible for the Building Engineer business in China. AECOM building engineering group provide multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy services to clients including Structure, MEP, IT & ELV, AV, Façade, Architectural Lighting and Sustainability. She is also a technical leader driving high performance, quality, sustainable and innovative designs. The high standards upheld by herself and the team has been the key to achieve successful completion of projects which have been well recognized in the construction industry. Her representative projects cover a wide range of tall and large-scale complex building projects including: Shenzhen Tencent Seafront Tower; Shanghai HKRI Taikoo Hui; Foshan International Sports and Culture Centre, Shanghai New Jiangwan ""The Springs"" F1D Development; Kunming Wujiaba mixed use development; Hong Kong Science Park Phase 2; Mandai Rainforest Safari Park, Singapore; Shams Tower in Abu Dhabi; Equestrian Stadium Al Shaqab Education City Doha, Qatar.
