About
Matiyas A. Bezabeh is a PhD Candidate at The University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada. Currently, he is a visiting research student at Western University (formerly The University of Western Ontario). He holds a master’s degree from UBC in 2014 and a bachelor’s degree from Addis Ababa University in 2011. His doctoral research focuses on developing unified performance-based wind engineering frameworks for tall buildings. In general, his academic interest is in earthquake engineering, wind engineering, performance-based design of tall buildings, structural reliability analysis, and timber structures.
