Matthias Lassen is Senior Team Leader at Drees & Sommer, responsible for International Business Development, located at the company’s HQ Office in Stuttgart.

After he graduated from the Architecture Department of the University of Hamburg in 1994, he worked at the Chicago and Berlin offices of Murphy/Jahn and gained rich experience on several large projects, such as Sony Center Berlin, New Kranzler Eck and Bangkok International Airport. On these projects, he participated in all design stages as well as site supervision.

After working shortly for Sauerbruch Hutton studio in Berlin, Mr. Lassen joined NPS Tchoban Voss for the Domaquarre project in Berlin. From 2005 to 2009, he resided in Moscow as the responsible Project Director of Moscow’s Federation Towers, Europe’s tallest building structure. Following, Matthias Lassen focused on developments in Middle East (mainly Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman), leading a professional architecture practice specialized on projects in the Middle East.

Following he joined HENN in 2011, he began to lead high-rise building projects in the Beijing Office, such as Haikou Towers, Kingdee Tower Shenzen and Taiyuan 1 Tower. In 2015, Matthias Lassen became partner of HENN in China and co-leading the office in Beijing.

Since 2021 Matthias Lassen is working for Drees & Sommer, the largest Real Estate Consultancy firm in Germany focusing on international business development and interdisciplinary planning management of large scale projects.
