About

Michael was a member of Arup Group Board and has served as East Asia Region Chair from 2017 to 2023. He is now Chairman of Asia Pacific Council at Arup. A civil / structural engineer by profession with more than 38 years of project experience in the region, Michael has played a key role in developing Arup’s business and operation in Mainland China, and led some of the most innovative urban projects across the territory including the Bird’s Nest, CCTV Headquarter Building, Beijing Capital International Airport T3, Guangzhou IFC And Raffles City Chongqing. Recently, he focuses on forging pioneering collaborations, seeking opportunities in emerging markets and leading the firm in its digital transformation – applying innovative solutions in supporting clients and communities transition to a more sustainable future.
