About
Michael Palmer is an architect and was a principal with Perkins&Will prior to retirement. He has been widely recognized for his expertise in managing the design of large, complex projects, including office, mixed-use and educational facilities. His internationally-renowned projects include the 385-meter tall Iconic Tower in Cairo, three towers in the King Abdullah Financial District and the all-women Princess Nora University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Other completed projects include the Bank of America tower in Charlotte, NC, the Block 37 office tower and the high-rise Jones High School, both in Chicago. A major project he contributed to which is still under construction is the new stadium for Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He contributed to the mission and work of CVU (CTBUH) by being a member of the Advisory Group. He has been active on the Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings and was on its Executive Committee for the past two years. He has degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and University of Notre Dame.
