About
Mitchell Cohen has been involved in all facets of real estate in the public, private and governmental sectors for nearly 45 years. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Westdale Construction Co. Limited, a privately-owned real estate company specializing in multi-family, condominium, retail, commercial, and hospitality properties across Canada and the United States. Mitchell is also the President & Chief Executive Officer and Director of Urbanfund Corp., a publicly traded real estate company (TSX-V: UFC) that acquires, redevelops and re-positions income producing properties in Canada.
Mitchell is an experienced Board Member for public and private real estate companies. Additionally, Mitchell remains in his role as a fundraiser for Baycrest Health Science which is a global leader in geriatric residential living, healthcare, education and research. He is a past member of the City of Toronto’s Union Station Redevelopment Public Advisory Group and was previously the President of Bayview Golf and Country Club.
Mitchell graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University. (nee Ryerson University) He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planning Institute. (Retired)
