Architect Paulo Rocha’s pursuit of design excellence is rooted in his passion for materiality and craftsmanship, in particular, the artistry of building massing and composition. He firmly believes that beautiful and thoughtfully designed environments have the power to influence people’s health and well-being.

Paulo has played a critical role in the evolution of KPMB Architects’ design language and form, and his diverse portfolio includes such typologies as academic, civic, cultural, hospitality, and workplace strategy. He consistently designs buildings of exceptional integrity, distinction, and quality. He has been instrumental in realizing many of the firm’s award-winning projects, including the Remai Modern gallery in Saskatoon, the Gardiner Museum in Toronto, and the expansion for Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He served as the design architect for the Center for Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University, one of the largest sustainable buildings in Boston.
