About
Peter is the Global leader, Building Structures. Based in Brisbane, he brings over 30 years’ experience designing major public buildings around the world and has the rare distinction of having worked on every continent. He therefore has an excellent understanding of the differences in successfully delivering complex projects, harnessing expertise from around the world, in many different cultures.
Peter was awarded the Association of Consulting Engineers “Engineering Professional of the Year, 2014” in recognition of his outstanding commitment and contribution to international design excellence.
He has also won multiple project awards, including the ENR Global Awards “Project of the Year 2014” and the ASCE “Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award 2015”.
Peter is a globally recognized thought leader in the design of complex structures and large public assembly buildings such as stadia and arenas. He is very active in promoting a new future for engineering design and was Guest Editor of the 2016 Structural Engineer journal special edition on “Digital Design”
Prior to joining Aurecon, Peter was a senior director at AECOM in London, having started as a Graduate Engineer in 1986 and becoming a full director in 2001.
