Rony Eappen is the Business Development Director for Major Projects at KONE, overseeing strategic growth across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and India regions. With over 15 years of experience in the vertical transportation industry, Rony leads with a clear vision: to shape the cities of tomorrow through intelligent, sustainable, and future-ready mobility solutions.

Prior to joining KONE, Rony was a senior leader at D2E, where he played a key role in delivering landmark projects across the globe. His expertise covers the full lifecycle of vertical transportation—from concept design and people flow strategy to major project mobilisation and long-term maintenance planning.

Rony’s portfolio includes globally recognised developments such as 20 Fenchurch Street (Walkie Talkie), Heron Tower, One New Change, and Battersea Power Station in London, alongside international projects like Telia HQ in Stockholm, Masdar in Abu Dhabi, and Prestige Tower in Mumbai.

A Chartered Engineer and Member of CIBSE, Rony is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of engineering excellence while actively mentoring the next generation of VT professionals.
