A native of Scotland, Russell Gilchrist has worked largely in the USA, UK (Europe) and Asia, on projects worldwide. He became the Design Director for Gensler in Beijing after transfered to the Shanghai office in the same role. He is now a Principal based in London although spent the previous 8 years in the Chicago office. Prior to his current role he was a Director at AS+GG (Chicago) and Technical Director/Chicago Practice Leader at SOM (Chicago), Senior Associate at Richard Rogers Partnership (London) and Senior Designer at Foster + Partners (London). His completed, award-winning, high-performance projects include: Pearl River Tower in Guangzhou, PRC, Protos Winery in Penafiel.
