About
Sam is a Director in the London Structures Team of Buro Happold and leads the Building Asset Transformation sector across the UK.
He has a master’s degree in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineering.
From 2012 to it’s opening in 2022, Sam has been one of the key members of the Buro Happold team who has delivered the engineering for the repurposing and refurbishment of the iconic Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station, where Sam led all the heritage and heavy refurbishment design and was responsible for overseeing all of the structural engineering site works.
Sam is currently leading on a number of refurbishment projects in the UK, predominately in the City of London and City of Westminster. This allows him to practice his key interests of refurbishing existing assets, whilst treading as lightly as possible on the planet.
