About
The experience of Shaoyong Shen is founded in his estimating and building science background. He has been a construction professional since 2011. With hands on design and construction experience in the urban centres of Shanghai and Toronto, Shaoyong evolved to become a talented business and construction project manager. Following robust project assignments at other companies, Shaoyong rejoined GCL Builds Limited as a Director and Partner. GCL Builds is a Canadian construction management and general contracting firm.
The prominent work types at GCL Builds are multi-storey residential buildings, commercial and mixed-use buildings. Shaoyong leads job teams on multiple projects, with emphasis on planning, design management and design assist purchasing. Constructability reviews and building envelop details are products of Shaoyong’s preconstruction studies.
In Shaoyong’s past work, he led the construction of the 32 storey Scotiabank North Tower, a LEED Platinum office tower, supported by a five level parking basement, in downtown Toronto.
In addition to his construction vocation, Shaoyong is an active real estate investor.
