Turner Solterman
About
Turner Solterman is a structural engineer assistant at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Mr. Solterman holds degrees from Western Michigan University and the University of Michigan, where he studied civil and structural engineering. His research experience includes topics such as accelerated bridge construction and topology optimization. An active member of Blackbox - a digital design research group at SOM, Solterman’s current interests include efficient and intelligent use of materials to solve specific structural challenges, such as the design optimization process for architecturally expressive banded beams.
