With more than 25 years of architectural and design experience, Xiaomei has directed many prominent projects, often on a complex scale, spanning urban design and master planning, tall building architecture, renewal and repositioning, mixed use, retail, hospitality, education, health and wellness, art and culture and most recently sports.

Notable in this portfolio is Xiaomei’s leadership in delivering China’s tallest building, a landmark on the city’s skyline today, the renowned and highly awarded 632-meter-high Shanghai Tower. It is a portfolio that reflects the transformation of the region itself.

In recognition of her strategic business leadership Xiaomei was appointed a Global Governing Trustee for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) in 2020 and is the Vice Chairwoman of the Committee on High-rise Habitat Environment of the Architectural Society of China. In 2021 she was appointed Chair of the Women’s Executive Network in Shanghai for the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). Xiaomei is highly regarded in the industry as an innovative leader in her own right and continues to be a popular keynote speaker and panelist.
