CVU received $116,200 in funding from Trosifol to embark on Stage 2 of the successful research project “Cyclone-Glazing and Façade Resilience for the Asia-Pacific Region.” Stage 1 of the research investigated current, state-of-the-art cyclone-resistant façade technologies requirements in 12 Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. Stage 2 of this research dove into the specific problems with cyclone glazing, through the analysis of the effectiveness of solutions for existing projects and buildings. In order to identify the most optimal strategies used in the construction of cyclone-resistant structures, this stage of the research examined specific case studies in four cyclone-prone jurisdictions.
