Inclusive Excellence

As global leaders of our industry, we must hold ourselves accountable to encourage environments that are safer, healthier and more accessible for everyone. To do so, we must focus more on the societal component of our built environment – and recognize that how we build, and for whom we build, is just as important as what we build. Inclusive Excellence is about people – how we attract new talent and make all people feel welcome in this industry, how we engage with people in the communities where we build, and how bringing diverse perspectives to the creative process helps drive innovation and safety.

 

The Committee will share and encourage best practices that advance Inclusive Excellence – through the annual Conference Awards, conference Workshops and Presentations, Webinars, and other Council programming and activities. Working alongside the Women Rising and Global Future Leaders groups, we will expand our outreach strategy for speaker opportunities, continue broadening our reach through the topics we cover, and welcome diverse perspectives from all our members across different cultures and geographies around the world.
